is currently seeking a full-time Continuous
Improvement Specialist
to join its team in Pickering, ON – reporting to the
VP, Supply Chain & Operations. In this role the successful candidate will assist with the deployment and maintenance of
a disciplined continuous improvement program that focuses on improving quality
and customer service while reducing costs. 

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop
    and maintain a continuous program that is consistent with other Kubota
    organizations, one that utilizes recognized continuous improvement
    methodology
  • Develop and
    maintain a project infrastructure/funnel that identifies, prioritizes and
    assigns projects that address the greatest opportunities for the
    organization
  • Build and
    maintain a project evaluation program that provides a forum in which
    projects can be showcased to and evaluated by Kubota SLT
  • Champion the
    continuous improvement culture within Kubota Canada
  • Participate
    in / lead opportunities to share & develop CI ‘best practices’ across
    the Kubota network
  • Assist with
    the development & execution of corporate initiatives, specifically
    related to continuous improvement opportunities
  • Attend
    relevant seminars, conferences and meetings.
  • Train and
    develop Kubota staff in continuous improvement techniques in an effort to
    increase the CI capacity across the organization and to reinforce the
    culture of improvement
  • Assist with
    the development of role / departmental specific KPI’s & metrics which
    are current, visible and referenced daily throughout the company.
  • Facilitate
    and, when necessary, lead improvement projects and communicate updates, as
    required, to SLT
  • Assist with
    the development, maintenance and communication of meaningful KPIs
    reflecting agreed upon quality dashboards.
  • Challenge
    the ‘status quo’ through analysis, VSM reviews and involvement in relevant
    meetings & discussions.
  • Comply with
    all Health & Safety practices
  • Ensure that
    one’s area is consistently free of hazards.  Immediately address all hazards and
    resolve in a way that is consistent with Kubota H&S practices

 

Requirements:

·       
Expertise in Continuous Improvement Methodologies – Deep knowledge
of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and other process optimization frameworks to
drive operational excellence.

  • Change Management, Coaching, and Approachability –
    Ability to lead and support teams through change, provide mentorship, and
    foster an open, collaborative environment.

Strong Communication and Presentation Skills – Effectively conveys
ideas, facilitates discussions, and presents data-driven insights to diverse
audiences.

·       
Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking – Identifies
inefficiencies, analyzes root causes, and develops strategic solutions using
data and critical thinking.

·       
Hands-On Execution and Adaptability – Takes a proactive approach
to implementing improvements, adjusts to changing priorities, and works
effectively in dynamic environments.
